FPL: Best players to pick for gameweek 37

The Premier League’s last weekend has here, and unusually for this time of year, there are still plenty of notable positions in the table that need to be filled.

Liverpool appear set to challenge Manchester City for the title until the final day, as they did in 2017-18, while Arsenal and Tottenham continue to battle for the fourth and final Champions League spot.

Everton, Burnley, and Leeds are all in danger of joining Watford and Norwich in the Championship next season, with just two points separating the Toffees in 16th and Jesse Marsch’s side in 18th.

t also implies that the Fantasy Premier League season is almost over, which means that it is either a shame or a relief for managers, depending on their global rank or mini-league position.

So, here are the players you need to have in your FPL team!

Jordan Pickford (Everton)

Jordan Pickford’s performances towards the conclusion of the season will have been crucial in Everton’s survival in the Premier League.

The England No. 1 has been in sublime form, making one spectacular save after another, most notably in 1-0 victory over Manchester United and Chelsea at Goodison Park.

Only Alisson (with 15) and Aaron Ramsdale (14) have accumulated more bonus points among goalkeepers than Pickford (12), owing to his shot-stopping abilities.

Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace)

Wilfried Zaha is another intriguing prospect for Crystal Palace’s next matches against Aston Villa and Everton.

He’s flourished under Patrick Vieira and has already surpassed his highest Premier League goals tally for a single season with 13, plus he’s Palace’s penalty taker.

He also has a home game against Manchester United, who looked all over the place in their 4-0 loss at Brighton.

Joao Cancelo (Man City)

Even with Liverpool breathing down their necks, Manchester City have shown no signs of faltering in the title chase, but Sunday’s game at the London Stadium has the appearance of a potential banana peel.

West Ham rebounded from their Europa League heartbreak by thrashing Norwich, and they still have a top-six spot to contend for.

However, it appears hazardous to be without any City players this weekend, and Joao Cancelo stands out for his away form: only Mo Salah has accumulated more FPL points on the road this season than the full-back.

Son Heung-min and Kevin de Bruyne (Tottenham, City)

Son Heung-min and Kevin de Bruyne are the two most in-form players in the game right now, with Son scoring 98 points in the last eight gameweeks and De Bruyne scoring 86.

Phil Foden is the less expensive option in that Manchester City midfield, but remember that in a Free Hit team, you want to put all of your money into your starting XI rather than distributing it over all 15 players, so go for inexpensive subs and push the boat out for De Bruyne. Who knows, he might score four goals again!
